Submitted photo LLSWD staff recently received an award for the wastewater treatment plant. Pictured are Ted Sturdevant with the Department of Ecology, Dan Grogg, the wastewater treatment plant's chief operator, Lee Mellish, LLSWD manager, Darrell Gamble, a plant operator, and Grant Pfeiffer, the Eastern regional director for the DOE.

The award is based on a perfect record for meeting wastewater discharge requirements and completing paperwork and lab tests.

This is the third time out of the last four years that LLSWD has won the award. The district also won it in 1997.
